What Is a Dental Bridge?
A dental bridge is a tooth prosthetic that fills the gap in your smile created by one or more missing teeth. A typical bridge consists of two crowns on the teeth on either side of the gap (the "abutment teeth") with a false tooth or teeth in between (the "pontic").
Bridges are an excellent option for those who want a non-removable tooth replacement or aren’t interested in going through the dental implant process.
Our Process for Crowns and Bridges
Getting a crown or bridge at Pampa Dental Arts typically involves two visits:
First Visit:
- Dr. Mohr numbs the tooth and then carefully shapes it to prepare for the crown.
- We take impressions and place a temporary crown or bridge to protect the prepared tooth
- A trusted dental lab carefully crafts your custom crown
Second Visit:
- Dr. Mohr removes the temporary
- We check the new restoration for fit and cement it securely in place.
